Overview

Labor Nurses play a vital role in the healthcare industry, providing care and support to patients during labor and delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and making a difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with clinical planning and patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Communicate effectively with the care team to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain current Basic Life Support certification and stay up-to-date with the latest medical procedures and protocols.
  • Work effectively in a stressful environment and adapt to irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable disease, body fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other potentially hazardous conditions common to a clinical environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a LPN nursing program from an accredited school.
  • Authorized by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing to perform intravenous therapy procedures and administer medicines if required by specific area/department.
  • Two years of related LPN experience required for LPN-Weekend Option.
  • Per diem LPNs must have at least one year recent experience in the area of practice.
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
