About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architect at Associate or Senior Associate level with a passion for healthcare sector architecture and design to join our National Practice as an emerging leader. As a senior leader, you will be client-facing, managing existing relationships and growing new ones. You will also play a project leader role, overseeing the delivery of multiple projects across teams of designers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and leverage existing client relationships, as well as create new ones
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants and industry contacts
  • Oversee projects from end-to-end, including client briefings, workshops, concept design, space planning, design development, and documentation
  • Manage project operations, including resourcing, invoicing, and project review using Deltek VantagePoint software
  • Oversee cohesive working relationships and outcomes of project teams
  • Contribute to the development and mentoring of other staff members
  • Become a thought leader and respected design professional in the industry
About You

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious individual with consolidated experience in healthcare architecture and a reputation as a driven, highly self-motivated, and engaging design professional. You will need to be able to manage projects from end to end, with strong design, design development, and construction skills, as well as knowledge of relevant building regulations and specifications.

Requirements
  • Established experience and reputation in healthcare architecture
  • Experience and involvement in client relationship management and development
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a design practice, preferably as a qualified or registered architect
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively communicate and manage clients, consultants, and internal team members
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering designs from briefing to project handover
  • Solution-focused, with a proactive and collaborative approach to projects, clients, and teams
  • Proven ability to manage and oversee multiple projects at once
  • Strong knowledge and appreciation of the BCA and relevant building regulations and specifications
  • Experience with Revit software is preferred
  • Collaborative leadership approach, respectful, and patient in manner, and a natural team player
