Job Title

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of programmable logic controller (PLC) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in PLC-controlled TBM systems.
  • Maintain and repair PLC and electrical systems for auxiliary equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and calibrate electrical components and instrumentation.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and perform lockout/tagout procedures as required.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and PLC changes.
  • Collaborate with project personnel and communicate technical issues clearly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualification as an Electrician.
  • Relevant post-trade qualifications in PLC programming and industrial automation or equivalent Engineering qualification.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and modifying PLC systems.
  • Specific experience working on TBMs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
