We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to provide support to the mine's ground control systems. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong understanding of rock mechanics and stability analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site investigations, collect and analyse geotechnical data, and develop recommendations for improved ground control practices.
- Design and implement ground control measures to prevent rock falls and ensure safe working conditions.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop mine plans, drill and blasting plans, and survey instructions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnics, Mining Engineering, or Geological Engineering.
- Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in open-cut mining environments.
- Proficient in using Rocscience Software suite and other relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of Australian mining regulations and legislation.
