The role of the Mechanical Engineer is to design, develop and maintain mechanical systems for agricultural spray drones and spreading equipment. This position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on designing and developing complex mechanical systems.


Responsibilities:

Design and Develop Mechanical Systems: The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for agricultural spray drones and spreading equipment. This includes designing and developing components such as gearboxes, pumps, and valves.
Engineer Structural Components: The Mechanical Engineer will also be responsible for engineering structural components to support high payloads without compromising stability. This includes designing and developing components such as frames, mounts, and fasteners.
Optimize Payload Distribution and Aerodynamics: The Mechanical Engineer will work to optimize payload distribution and aerodynamics for efficient and safe flight. This includes analyzing data from flight tests and simulations to identify areas for improvement.
Conduct Prototype Development, Testing and Refinement: The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for conducting prototype development, testing and refinement under real-world field conditions. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address any issues that arise during testing.
Integrate Mechanical Systems with Avionics, Sensors, and Control Systems: The Mechanical Engineer will work to integrate mechanical systems with avionics, sensors, and control systems for seamless operation. This includes designing and developing interfaces between mechanical systems and other subsystems.
Analyze Rotor Performance and Vibrations: The Mechanical Engineer will analyze rotor performance and vibrations in coaxial twin-rotor configurations. This includes using simulation software and data analysis tools to identify areas for improvement.
Establish Maintenance Protocols: The Mechanical Engineer will establish maintenance protocols for drone frames, nozzles, and spray components. This includes developing procedures for routine maintenance and repair.
Monitor Mechanical Performance and Troubleshoot Issues: The Mechanical Engineer will monitor mechanical performance and troubleshoot issues during flight operations. This includes working closely with other teams to identify and address any issues that arise.
Develop and Document Assembly Manuals, CAD Models, and Engineering Drawings: The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing and documenting assembly manuals, CAD models, and engineering drawings. This includes working closely with other teams to ensure that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
Ensure Mechanical Systems Meet Safety and Agricultural Standards: The Mechanical Engineer will work to ensure that mechanical systems meet safety and agricultural standards. This includes staying up-to-date with industry regulations and guidelines.
Support Field Deployment with Setup, Calibration, and Servicing: The Mechanical Engineer will support field deployment with setup, calibration, and servicing of mechanical components. This includes working closely with other teams to ensure that all necessary equipment is available and functional.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve drone functionality and reliability. This includes working closely with other teams to identify and address any issues that arise.
Recommend Design Improvements Based on Field Data and Client Feedback: The Mechanical Engineer will recommend design improvements based on field data and client feedback. This includes working closely with other teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.

Requirements:

At Least 3 Years of Relevant Experience: The Mechanical Engineer should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Communication Skills: The Mechanical Engineer should have excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
