Coding Instructor Needed for Kids After School Program

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young children by teaching them coding skills. We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a coding instructor for our after school program.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, be passionate about technology, and have excellent communication skills. They will be responsible for delivering fun and engaging coding lessons to students aged 5-12, using a variety of tools and resources. The instructor will also assist with setting up equipment, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring student safety.

We are looking for someone who is tech-savvy, able to troubleshoot and problem solve, and has beginner coding knowledge (preferably drag and drop/block coding). A mature outlook, common sense, and ability to identify and manage risk are essential. Fluency in conversational English is required, and having a paid Blue Card or being willing to obtain one immediately is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and facilitate coding lessons to students aged 5-12",
  • Set up and pack away equipment",

  • Maintain contact with Head Office via Slack",
  • Complete staff training prior to first session",

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children",
