We are seeking passionate and energetic university students, graduates, and tutors that have a background in computer science, engineering, and other related fields to become a casual Robotic and STEM Teacher for us. Usually works on school holidays, after-school hours and Saturdays.

Engineering For Kids comes from the mind of educator Dori Roberts in USA since 2009. Now the company has 137 locations in 37 countries, 495 unique lessons, 79 units, to match 3 sets of curriculum standards. We're proud to offer a variety of engineering programs for students and strive to let them know how fun STEM can be.

Engineering For Kids Sunnybank endeavour to introduce STEM enrichment programs to students at primary school, to expand on what they are already learning in school. We offer an induction program, paid trial lesson, ongoing on-site feedback, and even demo lesson if needed, to help you adapt your skill set to the teaching environment.

**Job Type**: Casual

Major tasks:
Instruct children under 14, Lego WeDo 2.0 / Spike Prime Robotic, Scratch / Python coding, and hands-on STEM educational activities. The student groups will attend RoboCup Junior, First LEGO Leagues and similar competitions.

Locations:
Calamvale (Sat. afternoon) [On-site teaching required, all activities commenced in the school.]

Expected hours: 3 - 6 hours per week

**Requirements**:

- Robotic and coding experience is necessary
- Direct tutoring experience is not necessary, but a passion for excellence in children's education is essential
- Commit to work at least four school terms (following Queensland State School Calendar)
- Dedication, commitment and passion for tutoring and educating kids

Expected Start Date:
Trial lesson: November 2024 (ASAP)

Internship: Saturdays in November 2024 (work as an assistant)

Independant Work:

- Mid January 2025 (work as main instructor for Robotics Holiday Camp)
- Early Febuary 2025 (work as main instructor for weekly robotics classes on Saturdays)

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 6 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Weekends only

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
