Effective program delivery is a key focus area in Defence, and we are seeking a skilled Configuration and Technical Officer to join our team.

This role involves working on current Defence contracts and future projects, developing and administering configuration management down to the lowest repairable unit for platform-fitted equipment. You will also be responsible for coordinating resolution of technical matters for current Defence contracts.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Your ability to coordinate, lead, and manage expectations through to resolution will be essential. A proven capacity to work with defence security clearance (baseline or above) is also required.

We are looking for someone with qualifications in configuration management or equivalent relevant skills and experience (5 years or more). You will also require strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will possess well-developed skills in managing long-term change, customer focus, and a demonstrated capacity to lead and manage expectations. Experience with Windchill, MS Word, and MS Excel is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and administer configuration management for current Defence contracts and future projects
  • Coordinate resolution of technical matters for current Defence contracts
  • Manage long-term change and ensure attention to detail in competing priorities and deadlines

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Configuration Management or equivalent relevant skills and experience (5 years or more)
