About the Role

The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Dental Assistant to join our Surgery and Oral Medicine Department. This role will provide the successful candidate with the chance to gain experience in surgery and oral medicine care, working alongside experienced dental assistants and coaches. Our team leader will provide guidance and support, ensuring that the candidate has the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing chair-side assistance to dentists or specialists in the ward
  • Delivering oral health education and promotion to patients
  • Preparing and maintaining the clinical environment to enhance efficient patient care

About You

  • At least 12 months of experience working chair-side as a Dental Assistant
  • Experience in surgery and theatre environments
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting or Certificate in Dental Nursing
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
