Warehouse Operations Manager

This role is responsible for overseeing the management of SMIF warehouses and driving operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational managers and supervisors to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring a consistent approach to material usage across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with Operational Managers and Supervisors to identify opportunities for improvements and to ensure a consistent approach to the use of materials for all activities across the broader group.
  • Reducing SKU lines to the essential products required for each contract (marking redundant lines, utilising pre-builds and kits to minimise individual items).
  • Provision of compliant materials to support SMIF contracts based on MRWA and Watermark Databases.
  • Maintaining stock level integrity through accurate stock control, cyclic counts, and investigations of any inaccuracies and annual stocktakes, of main stores and satellite stores.
  • Support non-SMIF Mondo logistical requirements as needed. (Predominantly Contestable Metering).
  • Developing an efficient and cost-effective model for delivering reinstatement supplies and collecting spoil.
  • Managing asset register software.

Requirements:

  • Forklift License.
  • Certificate II - Storage, Distribution and Warehouse Operations preferred but not a requirement.
  • Strong relationship building skills demonstrated by effectively influencing employees and key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in financial analysis and identification of operational improvements.
  • Strong customer focus and negotiation skills.
  • Previous experience in Warehouse Management.
