The Role


We're seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at JW Marriott. As a key member of our culinary leadership team, you'll be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are maintained, and driving business growth through innovative menu development and culinary excellence.


Key Responsibilities



  • Culinary Operations: Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of menu offerings and exceptional service standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of culinary professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement new menu offerings that meet the evolving tastes and preferences of our guests.
  • Cost Control: Manage kitchen costs, ensuring optimal profitability and efficient resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with Marriott's high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Requirements


To succeed in this role, you'll need:



  • 3+ years of experience in a senior culinary leadership position, preferably in a high-volume hotel or resort environment
  • Proven track record of driving business growth through innovative menu development and culinary excellence
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
