We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa in Australia.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and ambitious professional to take on a leadership role in our kitchen and contribute to delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation of food and beverages to ensure high-quality standards and presentation.
  • Oversee the inventory management and ordering of ingredients and supplies to maintain efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef and other department heads to develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques.
  • Monitor kitchen hygiene and safety practices, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • A trade qualification in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4-5 star hotel kitchen.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
