About This Role

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) communications position that involves managing the organisation's communications function.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing promotional campaigns, coordinating and managing communications channels, writing and publishing publications, and overseeing grant and partner communications obligations.

The role requires a strong communicator with excellent writing, editing, and visual design skills, as well as the ability to communicate with empathy and clarity in the organisation's primary audience's voice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute promotional campaigns to engage various stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage the organisation's communications channels, including social media, website, and publications.
  • Write, coordinate, and publish core organisational resources to inform and educate stakeholders.
  • Oversee grant and partner communications obligations to maintain positive relationships.
  • Manage the organisation's collateral and image library to ensure consistency and professionalism.
  • Professionally brief and manage external vendors to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Advocate and promote organisational policy positions and research to drive change.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in communications or a related field.
  • Knowledge of best practices for managing social media channels to engage diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Teams, Microsoft Office, and content management systems to streamline operations.
