Strategic Communications Role

The organisation is seeking an experienced professional to develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with its goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute campaigns to engage stakeholders and enhance the organisation's reputation.
  • Develop and distribute press releases, media statements, and other communications materials.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets and respond to inquiries.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications to ensure consistency in messaging.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and suggest improvements.
  • Support event planning and promotional activities to enhance public engagement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in public relations, media liaison, or communications roles.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the not-for-profit industry and its unique communication needs.
  • Experience working with remote Indigenous communities highly regarded.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media.
