Job Title: Infrastructure Maintenance Officer

Making a difference in our community is crucial to us. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Roads and Parks Team, responsible for undertaking maintenance to open space and road-related infrastructure.

The successful candidates will report to the Team Leader Sealed Roads and focus on general sealed road maintenance. This requires experience and skills in operating road maintenance related plant and equipment, as well as maintaining timber bridges and completing minor road and culvert repairs.

The key objectives of this role include:

  • Strengthening management, control, and delivery of high-quality bridge and general road maintenance activities.
  • Providing specialist plant operating skills that complement existing operations.
  • Contributing to the development of an efficient and flexible team to deliver client objectives.

This includes safely and properly operating plant including tandem tip trucks, tray trucks, backhoe loaders, crane trucks, and other equipment.

We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in:

  • Operating road maintenance related plant, equipment, and tools.
  • Developing work schedules and prioritizing works for self and small teams.
  • Drawing up plans and delivering construction and maintenance of small to medium-sized projects.
  • Estimating resources accurately.
  • Maintaining records in support of quality assurance, environmental accreditation, and OH&S requirements.
  • Using computers, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Being available to participate in after-hours callout rosters.
