Road Maintenance Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our team in managing road maintenance operations. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for directing daily activities, overseeing service standards, implementing asset management principles, and ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and contractual obligations across our region.
About the Role:- Provide operational leadership for road maintenance services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor levels of service and operations plans in alignment with asset management principles and regional resource needs.
- Handle customer requests per policy and service standards, ensuring timely and consistent regional response.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with key stakeholders.
- Support achievement of corporate and operational objectives.
- Deliver technical advice to senior management and colleagues.
- Proven highly developed managerial and supervisory skills, including team building, quality assurance, total quality management, and time management.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, including demonstrated interpersonal, oral, and written ability.
- A strategic understanding of Department of Transport and Main Roads Road Maintenance Performance Contracts (RMPC).
- Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering or relevant experience in Road Construction and Maintenance.
- Construction white card and RPEQ registration are required.
- Familiarity with RMPC specific programs, such as REFLECT.
