We are seeking a Family Support Practitioner to deliver an outreach model of family case-management programs to families. This is a full-time position, funded by the government until 31 December 2027 with possible extension. The successful candidate will be working under the SCHCADS Award, with a salary range of $85,127 - $91,588 + Super.
Key Responsibilities- Engage families and develop case plans which address unmet needs and child protection concerns.
- Work with other professionals and agencies utilising an ecological model.
- Facilitating social learning, community connectedness, good health and wellbeing.
We are looking for a candidate with a tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services) and at least 2 years' experience providing case-management and therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people, and children in a child protection framework. You will need to have well-developed communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Requirements- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver's licence.
- Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
