Subcontract Manager Job Description

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Subcontracts Manager to join our program line of business, reporting to the Senior Subcontracts Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing appropriate contracting arrangements with capable suppliers to deliver cost, schedule, quality, and safety requirements of the business, maximising value and minimising risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead supplier evaluation process and support sourcing recommendations on behalf of the business.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and finalise supplier agreements, subcontracts, and purchase orders in accordance with set procedures and Delegations of Authority (DOA).
  • Conduct commercial subcontract meetings to facilitate agreement of contractual changes while adhering to all timeframes, SHE, quality, risk, and budget delivery.
  • Attend operational subcontract meetings within an Integrated Project Team to provide advice on commercial matters for assigned contracts.
  • Manage subcontractor progress claims and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
