
Heavy Vehicle Training Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Trainer to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will provide classroom and hands-on training to apprentices and new technicians in our workshop.
The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of heavy-duty engine products and previous experience providing technical advice. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is also highly desirable.
In this role, you will be responsible for coaching less experienced technicians, delivering diesel engine fundamentals and basic diagnostic training, and participating in monthly capability trainer meetings.
- Coach and develop less experienced technicians to undertake troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on Cummins Products.
- Delivery of Diesel Engine Fundamentals and Basic Diagnostic training to all apprentices in the region.
- Participate in monthly Capability Trainer meetings and provide updates on progress against Heavy Vehicle Mechanical milestone training plan for the apprentices in your branch/region.
- Provide stakeholder updates and regularly communicate your training program delivery schedule with Supervisors, Workshop Manager, and Service Manager.
- Maintain a focus on apprentice safety by participating in extended pre-start meetings.
