Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our field education program. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the quality and delivery of field education placements in our Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work programs.

The role involves designing, implementing, and reviewing field education units, as well as supporting existing and new relationships with agencies. The successful applicant will also oversee the performance, grades, and issues identified for student placements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work practice, leadership, and teaching. They will be able to provide guidance and support to field education staff, ensure that students receive a high-quality placement experience, and foster effective relationships with industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implementation and review of all field education units.
  • Support existing and new relationships with agencies.
  • Oversee the performance, grades and issues identified for student placements.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in social work or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualifying practice experience in core areas of social work practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and develop quality teaching materials, particularly in the Social Work Field Education program.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • A current satisfactory Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
  • Awareness of OHS responsibilities and willingness to attend OHS training as required.
