About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to assist participants and school leavers in achieving their employment goals and social inclusion under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This position will involve one-to-one servicing with a focus on building capacity towards employment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Build professional relationships with participants at various stages of their employment journey.
  • Provide a positive and supportive environment for individuals with disability to assist them in reaching their employment goals.
  • Create individual support plans and 12-week plans outlining the participant's journey towards finding and sustaining employment.
  • Identify and create opportunities for individuals to reach their potential as valued members of their community, in line with their NDIS goals, including work experience activities.
  • Facilitate individual and group activities, using various enabling styles, such as job readiness skills, volunteering/work experience, and confidence building.
  • Ensure efficiency and compliance with administrative processes, adhering to organisational policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and guidelines from the National Disability Insurance Agency.
  • Maintain data integrity and efficiently manage workload, prioritizing tasks and ensuring all work is completed within designated time frames.

About You:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about assisting individuals with disability on their individual employment journey. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated.
  • To be proactive, showing initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilience and patience, with the ability to work with complex behaviors.
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain prior to start with Help.
  • A reliable vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide vocational support to participants who live with disability, delivering a service that enables them to build their capacity and work towards meeting their employment goals.
  • Experience in facilitating individual and group educational activities.
  • A high level of customer service skills, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
