We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our School Leaver Employment Supports team on a Casual basis in Inner North Brisbane. This position will play a key role in assisting participants and school leavers to achieve their employment goals and social inclusion under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) through one to one servicing.

About the Role

As an Employment Coach, you will be responsible for building professional relationships with participants at differing stages in their employment journey. You will provide a positive and supportive environment for people with disability to assist them with reaching their goals of finding and sustaining employment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating individual support plans and 12-week plans that outline the participants' journey towards finding and keeping a job
  • Facilitating individual and group activities, using enabling styles such as job readiness skills, volunteering/work experience, and confidence building
  • Ensuring efficiency and compliance with administrative processes in line with organisational policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and guidelines from the National Disability Insurance Agency
  • Maintaining data integrity and efficiently managing workload, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring all work is completed within designated time frames
About You

We are looking for an individual who has the following qualities:

  • The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
  • Proactivity, showing initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Resilience and patience, with the ability to work with complex behaviours
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate – or willingness to obtain prior to start
  • A reliable vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to provide vocational support to participants who live with disability, delivering a service that enables them to build their capacity and work toward meeting their employment goals
  • Experience in facilitating individual and group educational activities
  • A high level of customer service skills, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills
