This strategic leadership position is designed to drive the HR function and champion a culture of inclusivity, wellbeing, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will partner with senior leadership to develop and implement people strategies that align with organisational goals.
The ideal candidate will bring both strategic insight and a hands-on, empathetic approach to HR management. They will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation, as well as excellent people skills suitable for clients and staff at all levels.
- Develop and implement effective HR strategies to drive business outcomes and improve employee engagement.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on HR matters, including recruitment, performance management, learning and development, and compliance.
- Lead and manage the Human Resources function, including HRIS (preferably Workday) and auditing and risk management activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with organisational goals and reflect best practice.
- Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity practices throughout the organisation.
The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to ethical practice and a strong ability to lead with empathy, inspire trust, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
About YouWe are looking for an experienced leader who can make a positive impact on our organisation. The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience in HR leadership, preferably within the not-for-profit or community services sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise across all human resources activity functions and proven experience in leading a team of HR professionals.
- Sound knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation, including in the context of an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
- Excellent people skills suitable for clients and staff at all levels.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities, integrity, and a commitment to ethical practice.
- Ability to lead with empathy, inspire trust, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
- Proficiency in HRIS (preferably Workday) and advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office 365.
- Current Drivers Licence.
