Job Description:

As a dedicated Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with personal care activities such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming, maintaining the dignity and privacy of each resident.

You will also provide mobility support, helping residents with walking, using mobility aids, or transferring between different positions including from a bed to a wheelchair. Additionally, you will monitor health and report any changes in the resident's condition, ensuring their overall wellbeing is maintained.

Collaboration with healthcare professionals is essential, working closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care: Assisting with activities such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming, maintaining the dignity and privacy of each resident.
  • Mobility support: Helping residents with walking, using mobility aids, or transferring between different positions including from a bed to a wheelchair.
  • Monitoring health: Observing and reporting any changes in the resident's health or behavior.
  • Meal Assist: Supporting residents with their dietary requirements, ensuring they receive the food they need and assisting them in the process of eating.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Cert III Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
  • Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities.
