As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate and competitive bids and quotes across various projects, refining our budgetary strategies and ensuring seamless project delivery.

  • Review tender documentation to grasp project requirements.
  • Develop and submit precise cost estimates and bid submissions.
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to secure pricing and evaluate quotes.
  • Identify and assess potential cost risks, providing innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to refine budgets and bid strategies.
  • Assist in post-bid negotiations and handovers to project delivery teams.
  • Update cost databases and estimation tools.

Key Responsibilities: Reviewing tender documents, developing bids, conducting quantity take-offs, liaising with subcontractors, identifying cost risks, collaborating with internal teams, assisting in post-bid negotiations, updating cost databases.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client liaison.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, or quantity surveying.
