Job Title: Warehouse Operator
Description:
- Pick and pack sales orders accurately.
- Check and put away incoming goods efficiently.
- Pick job materials as required, ensuring timely delivery to production teams.
- Maintain a safe working environment by storing hazardous goods correctly and adhering to high housekeeping standards.
- Report discrepant parts to the Inventory Controller promptly.
- Provide regular updates to the Warehouse Supervisor on store operations, facilitating seamless communication.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods, promoting efficient inventory management.
- Participate in 5S practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Recommend improvements to optimize warehouse operations, leveraging expertise and sound judgement.
- Coordinate priorities effectively, exercising autonomy, sound judgement, and decision-making skills.
Requirements:
- A valid forklift ticket is essential.
- Strong teamwork skills, enabling collaboration across departments.
- Experience with stock control processes, preferably in a warehouse environment.
- Proven warehouse and inventory management knowledge, including basic ERP system familiarity (Epicor experience advantageous).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear information exchange.
- A quality-focused mindset, with ISO 9000 knowledge highly regarded.
- The ability to manage competing priorities with initiative and proactivity.
