Waverley Christian College is a forward-thinking and culturally diverse co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality educational experience for over 45 years, across two campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South.

Our Support Program of Applied Readiness for Community (SPARC) program sits within our Learning Enhancement and Program Support department. The SPARC program is designed for students who face significant social and academic challenges within the mainstream classroom. It provides tailored support for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they are equipped for academic success, social development, and life in the wider community. A respect for individual difference is an inherent value in the SPARC program, reflecting our Biblical foundation that we are uniquely created in the image of God.

As a Learning Support Teacher (SPARC), you will work closely with the Director of Learning Support and the LEAPS Coordinator to provide targeted educational support for students with diverse learning needs. You will be part of our dedicated Learning Support team, making a lasting impact in the lives of students and their families, while growing professionally in a supportive and collaborative environment.

To be successful, you must:">1. Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) with a strong understanding of special education needs and experience working with students with diverse learning profiles.">2. Be experienced in writing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and conducting assessments.">3. Have high-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and external professionals.">4. Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.">5. Show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.">6. Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities.">
