As a Procurement Professional, you'll develop buying skills, learn to manage a supply base, and understand financial accountability. You'll work closely with your team, providing assistance with product development (Jackets) and administration responsibilities for all categories.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Demonstrating an understanding of fashion trends as they relate to our customer.
  • Communicating creative input and innovation for all product development as required.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of product construction, fabric/materials, and their performance.
  • Displaying effective analysis of range planning, quantification, and forecasting.
  • Administration associated with the effective management of critical path.
  • Ensuring everything is prepared for weekly sales meetings e.g reports, products, merchandise racks.
  • Raising and amending orders at the direction of the Buyer.
  • Liaising closely with graphic designers and factories to ensure artwork files are prepared.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with all suppliers.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience in the fashion industry as a Trainee Buyer or Buying Assistant.
  • Fashion/Design/Merchandising diploma or Business Degree/relevant qualifications.
  • Previous experience working in a print-focused role.
  • Experience liaising with graphic designers and understanding of artwork preparation for print.
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (experience in recolouring and adapting files).
  • Understanding of buying/planning principles.
  • Direct sourcing experience with overseas suppliers desirable.
  • Understanding of critical path.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Customer focused.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
