About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced menswear buyer to join our team.

As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for purchasing and procuring goods to drive sales growth within your category in line with our overall business strategy.

Your passion for fashion, analytical mind, and knowledge of local and overseas trends will be essential in developing commercially relevant ranges whilst adhering to critical deadlines.

  • Purchasing and procurement of goods to meet business targets.
  • Development of product ranges and strategies to support company objectives.
  • Collaboration with the planning team on stock management, allocations, and replenishments.
  • Weekly reporting and analysis of product performance, highlighting best and worst performers and sales trends.
  • Research into trends and sourcing new products to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Working with the marketing team to promote key items in campaigns.
  • Maintenance of strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Evaluation of vendor performance and selection/exit strategies.
  • Establishment and maintenance of strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a buyer within retail apparel, preferably menswear.
  • A strategic mindset supported by strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of fabrications, product categories, and garment construction.
  • Capacity to build strong working relationships throughout the business and work effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking abilities.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
