Electronics Technician Role Overview

Job Description:

Perform routine maintenance and inspections of satellite earth station antenna systems and telecommunications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair, refurbish or replace defective components and perform corrective maintenance activities as required.
  • Provide support to site facilities and infrastructure as part of a multi-skilled team.
  • Implement continuous improvement by monitoring equipment condition and operational performance.
  • Use computerised maintenance management systems to record maintenance activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical qualification in electronics with relevant experience.
  • Hold ACMA open cabling registration with structural, coaxial, and fibre optic endorsements.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to use initiative, prioritise and work within defined timeframes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to WH&S and workplace diversity.
  • Experience in basic computer use, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical capacity to undertake manual labour and ability to work in confined spaces.
