About the Role

As a key member of the Tronox team, the Senior Mining Engineer will play a critical role in setting daily priorities for the mining team and coordinating execution activities to achieve required production targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining engineering, with experience in leading teams and managing resources effectively.

The Senior Mining Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Providing day-to-day operational direction to achieve required mining targets;
  • Reviewing daily/weekly/monthly schedule attainment for continuous improvement purposes;
  • Maintaining material balance requirements and movements;
  • Planning, developing, and implementing new methods and procedures to improve operations and minimize costs;
  • Conducting medium and short-term planning and mine scheduling processes;
  • Contributing to the creation of budget physicals, forecasts, and budget;

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Geology, and hold a Quarry Managers certificate of competency (NSW) or be currently working towards obtaining it.

A competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered for this role.

Additional benefits include relocation support, eligibility for the Tronox bonus scheme, 12-weeks paid parental leave, additional leave purchase program, and company-paid Salary Continuance, Journey, Total Disability & Life Insurances.
