We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Feedmill Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our modern state-of-the-art facility in Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, managing production, engineering, safety, and planning. They will also lead continuous improvement initiatives in line with Ingham's strategic plan.

As Feedmill Manager, you will have a diverse working environment where the safety of our people always comes first. You will lead a team of hardworking professionals who are passionate about improving efficiencies and delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach a skilled team to ensure a clear understanding of requirements relating to people safety, product safety, and quality
  • Inspire others with a compelling safety vision and demonstrate commitment to reducing risks by motivating and encouraging your team
  • Manage line performance KPIs - LTIFR/TRIFR (production), Quality, Downtime (planned/unplanned), define team targets, monitor performance, and resolve issues ensuring compliance with Ingham's Minimum Standard Procedures
  • Develop and lead a continuous improvement culture that enables your team to improve performance and efficiency
  • Maintain the plant and equipment at the feedmill in good condition at all times, create a reliability culture within maintenance to reduce downtime of production
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer requirements and ensure customer expectations are exceeded
  • Ensure all farms are adequately supplied with feed supplies at all times
  • Represent the company in contacts with Industry, Government, and Institutions
  • Ensure the Company complies with Commonwealth, State or Local Government Acts, Regulations, and By-Laws
  • Ensure process controls and HACCP principles are operating to standard
  • Ensure environment controls are operating to standard
  • Manage, monitor, and achieve set KPIs and budgets

About You:

  • A high level of leadership with effective communication skills
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data and turn it into purposeful insights for your team
  • Experience of successfully managing a complex feed mill plant producing pelletized feeds
  • Excellent working knowledge of complex process control environments, including pelleting and liquid coating
  • Proven track record of achieving departmental business plans and productivity agendas
  • Implemented and promoted continuous improvement initiatives, familiar with a culture of 5S, TPM, LEAN/Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of business systems that involve costing and planning
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders internal and external to the organization
  • Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance, and provide direct feedback

Salary: A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include onsite parking, great employee benefits, job security with an ASX-listed and stable company, and more.
