Project Cost Controller

Contract Resources is seeking a skilled Project Cost Controller to oversee the commercial and financial performance of complex projects. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost monitoring, timely invoicing, and effective financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. They will also possess effective communication and influence skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

As a Project Cost Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up contracts and jobs within our internal financial systems
  • Ensuring timesheet accuracy and invoice reconciliation
  • Monitoring cost ledgers and reconciling actual invoiced costs against budgeted data
  • Driving client requirements aligned to contract deliverables
  • Maximising outcomes in accordance with contract conditions
  • Revenue and cost forecasting and risk analysis
  • Tracking project costs aligned to client purchase orders
  • Coordinating End of Month requirements for projects
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the cost control function

Our ideal candidate will possess a minimum 3 years' experience in complex project cost control, preferably in the construction, mining, or oil and gas sectors. A strong organisational skillset, combined with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, is essential for this role.
