We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join a small, but scaling finance team in Sydney, working alongside the CFO and Senior Finance Manager. **Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage all expense approvals for Australia, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the month-end close for all Australian entities, facilitating timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Help prepare monthly analysis and KPIs for business leaders, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Assist with year-end financial statements and tax returns, contributing to comprehensive financial compliance.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly GST returns, ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • Help post transactions and reconcile balances for intercompany accounts.
  • Manage and address complex queries from five different business units, becoming the go-to resource for financial inquiries.
  • Provide financial analysis and assist with various project work and process improvements, working also with stakeholders across the business.

**Requirements:**

  • You hold a bachelor's degree or qualification in Finance or Accounting and have 4-6 years of finance experience, with a background managing billable hours in previous roles.
  • You're an all-rounder who thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to wear many hats and adapt to changing needs.
  • You excel in a small but growing team, setting and appreciate the value of collaboration and support.
