Empowerment Specialist

Our ideal candidate will play a vital role in empowering individuals with high support needs to live with dignity and independence.
About the Role- Personal Care Support: Assist clients with personal care, daily living activities, and promote autonomy within shared living environments.
- Manual Handling and Assistance: Provide support with manual handling and use of aids as required.
- Mental Health and Medical Requirements: Support clients with complex medical needs and requirements, including those using wheelchairs.
- Fostering Independence: Foster independence and inclusion in shared living environments, promoting positive relationships with clients and families.
- Building Strong Relationships: Build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues, managing challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Experience: Experience supporting high-needs disability clients, with confidence in manual handling and use of aids.
- Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with flexibility for varied shifts and rostered work.
- Technical Competencies: Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word & Outlook), current Driver's Licence, Working With Children Check, NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check.
