Lead Autism Researcher: Transforming Lives through Education and Research

We are seeking a distinguished researcher to lead our autism research efforts and contribute to the strategic direction of the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC) at La Trobe University.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Distinguished Research: Lead and advance major research projects within OTARC, fostering inclusive and participatory research practices.
- Secure External Funding: Obtain and manage external research funding to support the centre's research initiatives.
- Develop Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain high-level strategic partnerships with industry, government, and community stakeholders to drive research translation and policy development.
- Mentor and Supervise Researchers: Mentor and supervise researchers and higher degree students, with a focus on neurodivergent scholars, to develop their skills and expertise.
- Represent OTARC and La Trobe University: Represent the centre and university at national and international levels, promoting autism research and scholarship.
We are looking for a candidate with a distinguished international reputation in autism research, demonstrated by an outstanding record of publications, significant impact in the field, and success in securing external research funding.
The successful candidate will possess superior strategic thinking skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive research environment.
Lived experience of Autism and/or another neurodivergence and/or relevant workplace experience in a neurodiverse workplace is highly valued.
