Parks Maintenance Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled maintenance worker to join our parks team. This role involves undertaking a range of horticultural duties, including the maintenance of park assets and the operation of horticultural plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of horticultural plant and equipment in Council's parks, gardens and cemeteries;
  • Maintain park assets to ensure they remain safe and aesthetically pleasing;
  • Collaborate with the parks team to achieve overall maintenance goals;
  • Report to the Parks Supervisor on tasks completed and any issues identified;

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to operate relevant horticultural plant and equipment including ride on mowers and brush cutters;
  • Demonstrated competence/experience in amenity horticulture;
  • A current Queensland C Class Licence (MR licence preferred or willing to obtain);
  • An OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card;
