Job Title: Azure Data Factory Engineer

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is seeking highly skilled professionals to fill the role of Azure Data Factory Engineer. As part of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data integration pipelines that support the Funding and Disclosure Reform Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions using Azure Data Factory and SQL
  • Develop, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines for secure data transfer
  • Design and maintain data models ensuring accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization
  • Implement validation and quality checks to identify and resolve anomalies
  • Monitor and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and reduce latency
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation specifications, flow diagrams, procedures)
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and apply preventative solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Azure Data Factory skills and experience
  • Proven experience in data engineering, including data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data warehousing concepts
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in teams
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
