Job DetailsThis is a permanent 3 days (24 hours) a week role, with Tuesday and Wednesday being required working days, and your choice for the third working day. The official working hours are 8am to 4.30pm.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Payroll Officer, you will process end-to-end payroll for 109 employees on a fixed fortnightly basis. This includes ensuring all payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee information, are processed accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (including ATO, superannuation, state-based payroll tax, worker injury insurance).
Additionally, you will maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records and work collaboratively with HR and other departments to ensure employee data remains accurate. You will also generate reports and provide detailed information for audits and internal reviews.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you must have minimum 3 years' experience with proven knowledge of payroll related legislation, payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance. A high level of customer service and the ability to review existing processes to identify and implement process improvements are also essential.
Reporting StructureThis role reports to the Finance Manager, with a Senior Accountant being another team member.
