About the Role

The Non-Air Rewards Product Lead is a critical position within the Airline Loyalty and Rewards team at Virgin Australia. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of an innovative new rewards product, driving partnership success and financial performance as the product scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the rewards product, considering optimization, partnership development, and proposition growth across the full partner lifecycle.
  • Lead the product pipeline, driving growth and financial performance through commercial aptitude, relationship management, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement customer-facing product or features, ensuring seamless integration and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze large bodies of data to generate actionable insights, informing business decisions and driving product development.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and technical integration/partnership contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Loyalty/Business Development/Strategy/Management Consulting/Product Management.
  • Proven experience in negotiating commercial terms and technical integration/partnership contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business questions into critical analysis and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
  • Intimate knowledge of the loyalty landscape, programs, and players, with a deep understanding of redemption economics, breakage, and ROI mechanisms.
  • Strong customer orientation, focused on delivering enhanced experiences for partners and members.
  • Proven business management skills, including forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting.
  • Knowledge of product development approach and principles.
  • General understanding of payments industry and frequent flyer programs.
  • Direct marketing/CRM practices.
  • Experience in an agile workplace (desirable).
  • Leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders while not being a direct line manager (desirable).
