Apparel Design Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Apparel Design Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for surf and lifestyle fashion, with experience in apparel design ideally within youth or action sports markets.

The successful applicant will work closely with our Product Managers and Design team to bring global seasonal collections to life. They will be responsible for designing lifestyle apparel ranges that align with seasonal briefs and brand direction, as well as researching global trends and translating them into relevant on-brand product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality lifestyle apparel ranges
  • Research and analyze global trends to inform design decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence
  • Develop detailed tech packs, CADs, and specifications for development and production

Requirements:

  • Strong eye for design and passion for surf and lifestyle fashion
  • Experience in apparel design, preferably within youth or action sports markets
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit
  • Great communication and time management skills
  • Collaborative mindset and genuine connection to the brand and values

Creative Direction:

Stay ahead of surf, street, and youth fashion trends to keep our collections fresh and relevant. Ensure consistency in creative direction across all lifestyle apparel and work closely with the graphics team to develop artworks, prints, and trims that elevate the range.

Collaboration & Communication:

Partner with Product Managers, Developers, and the wider design team to bring collections to life. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure clear communication throughout the development process. Participate in fittings, approvals, and range reviews to ensure product excellence.
