Our business solutions focus on supporting Australian businesses' banking needs.

The team is responsible for deposit and transaction management, payments acceptance, and health products.

Key responsibilities include driving acquiring pricing strategy, managing merchant risk and fraud, managing forward delivery risk, handling pricing issues and incidents, managing scheme and PCI compliance, and being the business owner for acquiring pricing and billing systems.

The role involves addressing scheme requirements and compliance-related risk, control gaps, and serving as the central point of contact for Schemes and internal stakeholders for all Scheme and Merchants regulatory-related compliance enquiries, requests, and escalations.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting activities required to manage merchant compliance
  • Contributing and influencing the development of merchant acquiring regulatory/policy-related matters
  • Managing compliance to new and existing scheme mandates
  • Identifying possible breaches, investigating, assessing, and managing incidents and breaches
  • Demonstrating understanding of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures

Working in an outcomes-driven environment requires a strong emphasis on teamwork and achieving results. Ideally, candidates will bring experience with knowledge of risk and compliance gained within financial services.

Candidates should also be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, including researching and interpreting card scheme rules in plain business language, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in Risk or Compliance.

Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, and a demonstrated ability to function effectively both as part of a team and autonomously are essential.

A pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset, with a proactive approach, open to new ideas and experiences, and adaptable to change is important.

Excellent organisational skills and a thorough approach to work, with a very high level of attention to detail, and understanding of compliance frameworks, financial services law, obligations, and familiarity with policy requirements from ASIC, BCCC, AFCA are also necessary.
