Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the maintenance of a school campus.

As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities, you will be responsible for ensuring the school is well-maintained and clean. This includes a range of day-to-day activities such as delivering and collecting mail, parcels, and documents; recording and delivering messages; printing and photocopying; preparing classrooms for examinations and activity/assembly halls. You will also assist with clearing and hosing of drains and gutters, collection of waste, food, and paper on school grounds, and coordinating the removal and/or disposal of rubbish.

You will work closely with the Principal, Business Manager, or nominated delegate to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard. The position requires independence to perform routine day-to-day services but receives regular supervision when undertaking non-routine duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Certificate III qualification or higher relevant to the tasks outlined. You should also have the capability to perform activities consistent with workplace, health, and safety guidelines and procedures with regard to government facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess sound knowledge and compliance with regulations, codes, and specifications relevant to the role. They will also have a skillset that enables them to undertake required procedures without intensive supervision.
