Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality ecological services and advice to clients and colleagues through office-based and fieldwork activities.
  • Conduct field surveys and collect ecological data to inform environmental impact assessments and management plans.
  • Interpret environmental legislation and regulations for projects across various sectors.
  • Develop technical reports detailing field survey outcomes and implications for environmental impact assessment and management.
  • Support the development of tenders and proposals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate technical work into project assessments and management.
  • Conduct independent studies, analyses, interpretations, conclusions, and decisions, and prepare reports outlining findings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in an ecological role in the environmental consulting sector or an equivalent role in Government.
  • Experience in flora and fauna field surveys and monitoring programs.
  • Good knowledge of Western Australian flora and fauna.
  • Mature report writing and computer skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality written material for publication.
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
