About the Role

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) Children is a pivotal leadership position that drives policy, engagement, and strategy development in the Children's Group. This role is responsible for co-designing a system of best practice early childhood supports that intersect with non-scheme supports, aligning the Agency's existing early childhood approach with the Government's Early Years Strategy.

About You

You are a trusted and respected visionary leader, known for your energy, commitment, and respect for diverse views. You excel in delivering transformation and results in complex policy settings, with a proven background in executive roles within the public sector or aligned contexts. Your deep knowledge of service delivery and complex, government-funded programs pairs with your proven skills in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and resource management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead policy and strategy reform that improves outcomes for children with disability and those with substantial developmental delay in the NDIS.
  • Contribute to decision making across the organisation to ensure a culture of high performance, delivery, and innovation within a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
  • Build collaborative relationships and navigate challenges effectively, driven by a passion for improving disability services.
