Learning Support Specialist

This role presents a unique chance for an experienced educator to spearhead inclusive practices across Northside Christian College, supporting students with diverse learning needs within a community committed to Christian values, academic growth, and student wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Inclusive Education to develop, implement, and oversee inclusive education practices across Primary and Secondary school settings.
- Oversee support for students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, and social-emotional challenges.
- Work with teachers, support staff, and families to design effective learning plans and interventions.
- Maintain compliance with NCCD, funding submissions, adjustments, and documentation in line with government policies.
- Support a team of Learning Support staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for teaching and Christian education.
- A committed Christian actively involved in a local church, aligned with the College's mission and values.
- An experienced and qualified teacher (VIT registered) with additional qualifications or training in Special or Inclusive Education.
- Demonstrated leadership in inclusive education, learning support, or wellbeing, ideally in a school context.
- Strong knowledge of NCCD processes, individual learning plans, and differentiation.
- A compassionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- A strategic thinker who can lead change and build capacity in others.
