Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We're seeking a seasoned Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our growing team in Sydney. Your primary role will be to manage regulatory risks in the Pacific region and contribute to projects strengthening the compliance team's approach.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work with a global company, building a new network for money transfer and management. As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining requirements and owning policies related to consumer protection and conduct obligations;
  • Providing regulatory guidance to first-line teams and reviewing product feature changes;
  • Oversight and challenge of adequacy of controls and action plans;
  • Creating and maintaining regulatory training based on needs assessments;
Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be required to:

  • Monitor and maintain issues and incidents, including progress tracking and deep dives;
  • Build and uplift projects to enhance the compliance management framework;
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • A background in financial services regulation relating to consumer protection and conduct;
  • Experience providing regulatory compliance or legal advice to financial institutions;
  • Strong communication and organisational skills;
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
