Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled People Data Analyst to join our team at The Star Entertainment Group. As a key member of our People & Performance (P&P) team, you will be responsible for executing initiatives that involve collecting and interpreting complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights for data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data mining. You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy. Additionally, you should be able to communicate and present reporting data to senior stakeholders and external vendors.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in data analysis and has knowledge on people-related functions. Through governing HR audit models and accurately reporting data, you will support The Star in achieving wage compliance.

As the Data Custodian, you will ensure downstream impacts are monitored and understood across the team. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of data governance and BAU wage compliance processes within People & Performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate maintenance of employee information, including establishing ongoing auditing systems.
  • Manage the process for bulk uploads into the system, ensuring governance is adhered to and all testing is completed prior to uploads occurring in production.
  • Build audit models on HR data, particularly, wage compliance, and ensure all your HR project data is effectively governed and accurately obtained.
  • Ensure compliance with The Star Entertainment Group's policies and any relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Act as the Data Custodian to ensure downstream impacts are monitored and understood across the team.
  • Provide support for information retrieval from systems by generating standard reports that will support data analysis.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data mining.
  • Strong ability to gather and document requirements in line with governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate and present reporting data to senior stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Knowledge/exposure to HR/people-related functions advantageous.
