Support Homeless Young People in Brisbane

The Night Cafe is a safe and welcoming space for young people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. As a volunteer, you will assist the youth workers to provide a hot meal, access to toilets and showers, and connect young people with relevant services.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Serving a hot meal and providing access to basic amenities
  • Engaging with young people through informal conversations and activities
  • Observing confidentiality procedures and maintaining professional boundaries
  • Learning about issues affecting young people and empathizing with their experiences

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good conversational skills and ability to relate to diverse groups
  • Ability to commit to regular shifts on Tuesday and Thursday evenings
  • Willingness to learn about issues affecting young people
