Job Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Senior Lawyers with a strong foundation in criminal law and family violence matters to take on challenging roles within our organisation.

About the Position

  • Deliver high-quality legal services in complex matters, including criminal law, family violence, and youth crime
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior lawyers, promoting capability development across the team
  • Represent the organisation in complex court proceedings, utilising expertise in criminal law and family violence
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders, contribute to reform initiatives, and engage in community legal education
  • Lead systemic advocacy and practice development to improve legal outcomes for young people, serving as a key figure in the Sunshine and South-West region
  • Supervise and support Senior Lawyers and early career lawyers in youth crime matters, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge sharing

Essential Requirements

  • Technical excellence in criminal law, with proficiency in family violence and youth crime
  • Skilled advocates with sound judgement, empathy, and cultural awareness, able to build trust across diverse teams
  • Strong collaborators who can lead, coach, and foster a culture of inclusivity and fairness
  • Motivated by a desire to drive positive change and make a meaningful impact in the community
